FACTS
The institute was founded by the Maharaja of Travancore. The administration staff of CET is under the direct control of the Govt of Kerala. Students are admitted only on meritorial basis. The college has a total number of nine fully functional departments.

The college facilities include a big library consisting of more than 50,000 books including referrals, periodic, lending books and also a book bank. A central computer service operates in the campus, which is used by the postgraduate students and final year students in preparing project works. It provides its students with career guidance and placement offers in the final level of their course. More than 2000 former students of the college are lifetime members of the CET Alumni. Unlike any other college CET also has an active Parents-Teachers Association.
